Google Marathon Week

There was so much I wanted to write about last week but time has not been on my side.

I’m just going to say that any week where Google gmail is opened to the public (assuming they have mobile phones), a Google IM/Talk client is released, and the Google desktop adds “sidekick”, a desktop rss aggregator, it’s pretty much google’s week.

I think Yahoo and MSN did something but who knows… Google was the news.

On that topic, there were also mumblings about Google possibly buying Skype and then there was also the purchase of Android Inc., the mysterious mobile phone software developing company.

If you ask me, Google has seen the light and revealed what they know the future will be… a wireless mobile device that will do it all; cell phone, gps, news aggregator, music player, personal ID, and friend on lonely nights.

Maybe I don’t know what Google knows but whatever it is it involves mobile technology and RSS. Look out telecommunications, television, Personal PC, and palm pilots everywhere. Google’s got its sights on you!
