Number One on the Google! - A Requested Review
A Manchester based Internet Marketing Agency sent me a request to do a sponsored review. At first I was reluctant because there are a million SEO and SEM companies out there and it would be truly difficult to give an honest review with out having actually used the service.
But this review is fun. PushON has truly embraced the viral marketing potential of the Web 2.0 era. Let me explain.
PushON made a comical video about the ignorance that still surrounds Web Marketing in many business circles. This video could stand on it’s own from my point of view. Even the phrase, “Number one on the Google” is funny. But it shows that these guys understand the concept of viral marketing - Make something worth talking about, give it a little push into the public arena, and watch the publicity pour in as the word spreads.
And there are some details about this that are pretty slick too. One, using a phrase like “Number one on the Google” is essentially the same as saying “Number one on Google” from a search engine’s perspective because the word “the” is typically ignored. And that’s a phrase often searched for when people are looking to “be number one on Google”. So it’s a bit of keyword optimization going on as well.
Overall, I think the fact that PushON is using YouTube and ReviewMe to promote themselves speaks well of the company. It shows they are testing new mediums and ideas and that they are evolving with the industry.
Personally, I’d be more inclined to give a web marketing company doing things like this a chance before going with a non-forward thinking stick in the mud company. But that’s just me.
