iPhone Effect Crashes Digg.com

Digg.com is a site known for causing a phenomenon called the “Digg Effect” where so much traffic is delivered to one site at one time that it can cause a website to crash. But today Digg got a taste of it’s own medicine. News about the new Apple iPhone spread so fast and furiously today that it temporarily brought Digg.com to its knees.

Essentially the “iPhone Effect” crashed Digg. Gotta love the irony.

BTW, I’m going to submit this to Digg… just cause there have already been a million other iphone stories submitted today. It’s completely unnecessary… but kinda humorous just because of that exact reason.
