Static Websites are Dead!
If you own a commercial website and are serious about getting non-sponsored web traffic thru top keyword rankings on all the major search engines then you need to take note of one simple fact:
Static Websites are Dead!
What is a static website? A static website is a site that is created and then never updated or only updated rarely. These types of sites are everywhere. In fact, there are too many of these sites and the search engines know it. People who want a web presence but know very little about the search marketing industry create most of these sites. These are often people that come and say that they paid someone $5,000 to $10,000 to design their website but that now they are not getting any traffic.
The reason why static sites don’t get the traffic and recognition like they used to is because search engines now place a greater value on a different type of website - dynamic sites.
What is a dynamic site? A dynamic site is by definition one that changes. And by “changes” we do not mean the overall appearance or theme. What we are talking about is content. A dynamic site changes content to keep up with current news and information. These are often referred to as “blogs”. This is exactly what search engines are trying to find, as they are often believed to be authorities on the given topic.
Any site that provides a continuous flow of information stands a better chance at being considered an authority than a static site. And authority sites are what search engines look to first when providing search results.
If you are interested in finding ways to ad a dynamic element to your website or if you want to create a site from scratch based on this principle then contact me and I would be happy to provide you with some direction.
Remember, in regards to organic search engine rankings… Static Websites are Dead!
