The benefits of this battle are great. Imagine;
A searchable index that displays what is being searched right now and the ability to get into top position immediately.
To some degree this exists already. Technorati shows you “Top Searches This Hour” so for example, the Nokia 7710 is popular right now. People want reviews. Perfect.

The recognition of Blogs and “Blog Search” by Google change the game. What will evolve is a world of “real time marketing”. As topics of relevance emerge marketers will be there to post. The tools they will use will be blogs and RSS. And the whole time marketers do this; Stanford Graduates will be discovering new ways to discern between spam and legitimate blogging.
It will be beautiful. Google’s competition with the spamming marketers will eventually leave a new accepted class of business marketing bloggers. These bloggers will not write B.S. these bloggers will write relevant appropriate news about products and services that the public cares about. These bloggers become the glass surface between business and consumer. It truly is beautiful.
In the future, whenever people have an interest in a product or service they will merely query a blog search engine, like the Google Blog Search, and right there, in real time, are sales men waiting to great the potential customer… in person. They can answer questions in real time and they can ship the product. This is the sales job of the future… blogging.
