Is There a Good Caffeine Substitute?

Here’s what the Food Scientist has to say…

“What’s wrong with caffeine is my first question? Tea has caffeine and is good for u in so many ways we keep learning. Drink tea (the easiest most direct answer to your question). I learned recently that tea has the same caffeine level BUT it’s absorbed more slowly and lasts longer. I assumed it wasn’t as strong as coffee. Not true BUT I like how coffee will wake up in less than a half our. I assume they have issues with coffee. And tea is cheap. Not 5$ a cup, unless u buy it at starbucks. What else? Adrenalin shot to the heart. As bad for u as coffee. I originally typed adrenalin shit to the heart. Quite the different thang. Vitamin B12 is a brain vitamin that makes u a bit more alert/focused. I personally like gingko and ginseng. Makes me feel more focused and alert. But if u r tired as hell, those won’t wake u up. if u feel drained later on in the day, it might help u out. Exercise will make u less tired in general. Sugar can wake u up too. But it has really high highs, and really low lows. Plus it rots your teeth out and makes u fat. Chocolate also wakes u up but that’s cuz there’s caffeine in it. There r a lot of healthy fruits for u out there, but none wake u up. If u party hard the night before, and r tired as hell after 4 hours of bad sleep, nothing can wake u up like coffee. I’ll vouch for that. That’s about it for now.”

Amen!… you just took my hope… there are plenty of things but nothing wakes up like coffee… this is my 3rd month without coffee (I drink since I was a 2 years old) and I’m still sleeping at the office… damn!
